Global Workers seeks an enthusiastic intern to provide support with web content during the spring semester of 2016. The intern will help upload blog, news, and other content as needed. The Intern will also work with our team to bring the latest data and research to our Visa Pages website. Visa Pages is a one-stop resource to find comprehensive information about the various non-immigrant visas U.S. employers use to bring temporary foreign workers from all over the world to work in the U.S.
Global Workers seeks an enthusiastic, bilingual or highly proficient (Spanish-English) intern to join our team for the winter/spring semester! Global Workers Justice Alliance is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to reduce the level of exploitation in the transnational migrant workforce through a cross-border network of advocates in migrant sending countries – the Global Workers Defender Network.
Global Workers offers summer and in-semester internships, for law students. From our New York City office, interns will research issues related to portable justice for transnational migrants and assist in developing and managing a transnational advocate alliance. Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required. Unfortunately, Global Workers can not provide compensation.
The mission of the Global Workers Justice Alliance is to combat worker exploitation by promoting portable justice for transnational migrants through a cross-border network of worker advocates and resources.
Global Workers coined the term portable justice to describe the right and ability of transnational migrant workers to access justice in the countries of employment even after they have departed for their home countries.
